2 inch bolt in ring, in bracken 3m E of centre of path at bend, a foot down. Dug out a section of the ring but hole remains small and open as found. Nice viewpoint, Steepholm and Flatholm visible beyond Cardiff. From SW, good parking uphill from start of path.

Enlarged hole to reveal a concrete ring. Next visitor bring a trowel. The rotten stick gave up on me. Located just inside bracken belt.

Passed this spot thousands of times on my favourite mini mountain and had no idea ... found the hole ... cleared some loose soil and there it was : -)

Read that Dusty had uncovered this one earlier in the day so got the family and dog ready to go out as soon as possible to take a look at his handiwork. Impressive stuff.

Noticed a metre square shallow depression. On digging and prodding struck something solid. 16'' down hit concrete and the 2'' Bolt. Left uncovered.

Couldn't find it 24th Sep 2016  14:30  by Father Ted

WE had a very pleasant walk up the hill and then my wife and Shadow the decoy dog rested up whilst I went prodding with the long handled screwdriver. I hit lots of stones that of course I initially thought could be the block but on further prodding proved not to be. My GPS was pointing me to a spot not far off a path and just on a bracken boundary.
