Parked just before motorway and took the tarmac path before turning onto the grass track to find trig in the fernd with rocks around it . Good views.

Good, parked in the layby near the main roundabout on the Sarn Rd (making it a slightly longer walk about 2 miles round trip) and followed the marked public footpath along the ridge crossing another small Rd and continue for a few hundred yards to the pillar which is located in a small rock outcrop to the left of the path. There is a small crack on the top southwest corner, the centre plug is missing and the sight holes are open great views to the East, West and North.

Stopped off having passed this spot so many times in the past to visit this trig. Really easy to get to, even if a little wet today. Lots of ponies here to keep me company. Parked at side of road, a little limited but enough to pull off the narrow b road. Short walk 5mins to little outcrop with trig sitting surrounded by ferns. Spider, Flush Bracket in place cap/plug gone hole open. Sight holes open. Trig in pretty good condition.

Just off the road on the common by the M4 bridge. Not far from Parc Prison if you're on a visit or just got out and fancy a new hobby haha. Nice views up to the valleys.

A convenient spot to visit for those of us lucky enough to commute along the M4. Nice immediate vicinity, set among very localised outcropping of rocks at high point of rough moorland with panorama of hills at the mouths of the S Wales valleys to the north. Not so good to south with M4 roaring away close by

Having stayed at a nearby campsite the night before, we had intended bagging Mynydd Y Gaer this morning, but couldn't get the motorhome close enough for the necessary shortish walk. So we carried on down to the motorway and spotted dogs being walked on this ridge. Pulling in, we debussed and I was delighted to see the proximity of this trig which was duly bagged on a beautiful Good Friday morning, offering nice views back to the one we'd hoped to get!

Parked near the prison for a nice circular walk taking in this trig point near the start of the walk. A nice rocky outcrop. Hunted around for the remains of the old one too and spotted something.

Good roadside parking, from where the pillar is highly visible. Short walk. Nice spot with good views, esp N. Ground was dry today, good job as I wore trainers. Interesting that at 130m the trig is 12m short of the ridge's summit. Didn't bag the latter.

Easy access, roadside parking 180m on minor road just N of M4. Boggy ground to cover, but there is a tarmc path running fairly close to it. Pillar is in good condition; cap missing, asphalt plug; all 4 sight holes open. 360deg views, but S a little obscured by low trees/bushes bordering motorway. M4 traffic noise intrusive.

Parking possible where the two paths cross the road. well made path then skirts the field to within 50m but needed the GPS to find the trig with it now completely dark.
