By the railway track. Viewed site from the nearby lane but inaccessible

Having approached the fencing running along the rail track the GPS was indicating a further 6m, clearly indicating the block is trackside and therefore inaccessible.

If the trig point still exists it’s located next to the South Western main line and hence inaccessible. Update 19 November 2018 - I was recently at the National Archives in Kew undertaking some other research and took the opportunity to access the OS office file for this trig point. The OS file confirm that the block was still in existence in February 1986 but also it is on the railway side of the fence.
