Large bolt, ~2.5" dia, found in a grassy depression ~3m S of the summit rock. Dug out by Chris and I. Unsure if it's installed in concrete or rock as insufficient turf surrounding it was cut away. 3 witness rivets located on nearby outcrops.

OS bolt found with RHW under turf in a depression near summit.

2.5" bolt in block in depression 3m south of highest grassy rock. was covered in turf, left open. fine views of Round Island, Men-a-Vaur stacks and Scilly archipelago. Group charter with Martin Jenkins. Landed S side, path from old quarantine building heads R round coast then up to summit.

It is possible to land on St Helen’s, though it would probably mean hiring a boat. Bennett Boatyard is based at Green Bay on Bryher, but has hire points on St Martin’s and can deliver to Tresco by arrangement (see http://www.bennettboatyard.com/boat-hire-scilly.html). Perhaps next time I visit Scilly I’ll hire a boat and visit this trig point. Until then, St Helen’s is easily seen from both Tresco and St Matin’s.
