Retro logging this one given a rough estimate of when I visited the airport. OS has as destroyed 04/87. Block appears to have been situated under what is now runway 31 towards the far SE end. Can't find any airport history to suggest a runway extension in 1987 but Brymon (operating from Plymouth at the time) were the first to try to establish a London City Airport in the same year and it is possible the runway was extended to cater for passenger traffic from the capital, resulting in the block being destroyed.
