Great views north to Blencathra and Skiddaw ranges, west towards Keswick and south towards Helvellyn and Scafell Pike. Used Wainwright's "grassy spur" from the old coach road at Hause Well. There is a gate allowing access to the fell, but no official path. Compass bearing 210 to White Pike then following a sketchy path through the clouds to eventually hit the trig point. The next day we climbed Blencathra via Blease my first time up there since the 90s and lovely weather (unlike today)
