St Mary the Virgin former 14thC parish church, now redundant and a managed ruin, Grade II* listed. OS have Bolt and Centre both destroyed August 1965, although there maybe an argument made for the Centre being 'good'. Cut benchmark on a tower buttress. The ruins were consolidate and the site opened 2014 as an observational tower and educational site.

Bolt and Centre Dest 08/65 according to OS. Presumably on turret. Church ruined but stonework restored and metal spiral stairs appear to provide access but locked door. Warden on 07935 911207 or ask at nearby visitor centre (closed this morning) if anyone wants to see if it survives (arguably the Centre does). Pleasant stroll N from village. CBM on NW face of NW buttress
