(2906) Location now levelled and sporting a membrane topped with aggregate - probing and digging around not really an option. So, effectively 'destroyed' or 'inaccessible' at best. More so when whatever is earmarked for the spot gets built. Had a look around perimeter in case the block had been uprooted, but no joy there. And as I got back to my car the last ever PopMaster on Radio 2 was playing out as Ken Bruce says ta-ta for now.

15m from road edge. Area has been flattened but location indicated by GPS is a tangle of bramble and rose stems. Probing found several stones but nothing worth digging for an difficult digging without more clearance work. Wonder what is planned for the site. OS sketch belatedly added 10 March 2023, a week after eon's visit. Wouldn't have helped I guess.

On edge of a old quarry. GR appears to be within a large and very dense dense bramble and hawthorne thicket - not up for hacking though this today.
