Parked alongside house - permission readily given - NC 3990 2534. Rough going to deer fence at top of deforested forest shown on map. Found overgrown atv NC 39954 25351 but this only went for about 0.13mls to a blue box at NC 40097 25433. Once over deer fence going gets easier.

Leg-stretch en route to attempt Ben Stack. Up from A838 by Loch a'Ghriama. Steep and rough to deer fence where after gradient eases and going, whilst wetter, is over shorter vegetation. Pillar in good condition and has cap/spider in place. Never was an FB. Fine viewpoint, surprised at how little visits it's had! The stone in others photographs had fallen so I replaced it. Stags bellowing in the distance, returned same way. Total time was an unhurried 1 hour 30 mins.

Intact, one of the many in Sutherland without a flush bracket. Ascended while waiting for a bus as part of a 22 hour journey back to my car at Achfary from Alltnaharra after a backpacking trip.

Went straight up the steep slope by road with no problems even in the thick snow. Fantastic walk check pics (wot a view) well worth the trek. Plug intact on pillar. no FB.

Bonnie Scotland Why the journey was worth it!!! Scenes were breathtaking and as always the pics never do it justice but still its a peak of the good stuff.

Built without FB, vgc, metal cap, deep letters. On rock outcrop at summit. Raining but view of sorts, altho big hills in cloud. From SW, phone box, minimal bog.
