In passing so stopped for a mooch. Unsure what the rivet was originally installed on as the area has been redeveloped for up-market residential housing. The road name 'Convent Gardens' would suggest a former religious connection, as does the name of the trig. Whatever structure it was installed on is now the front garden of #27 'Landon Chase', a nice house built of traditional Sussex flint and brick. NB. 1938 6" map shows an un-named building standing alone in large grounds, bldg not shown on the early 1909 map.
