Took me a while to spot the tree as it's away from the footpath. Tip: just look for the one that isn't an oak tree! The recently re-dug hole was waterlogged thanks to overnight rain but instantly noticeable. With thanks to the work of previous loggers.

Second time lucky thanks to Rob's digging. I was in the right place last time, just not deep enough. Good condition concrete ring, located 5 metres from the Horse Chestnut Tree :)

Another great Berries find! 5m due S of base (not centre) of large sycamore tree. Hadn't been refound since, and took some pruning and digging. 0.4m down is a long way, beyond realistic probing depth. Fortunately a good location photo and dimension from the 2016 refind. Left open, not easy to get at and seems no point in reburying. Convenient car park 50m S

Location 5m due S of large sycamore
Just into the scrub, needed pruning
Concrete ring. Cleaned up and left open
5cm bolt
Tidied and left open
Good parking

I found the Horse Chestnut Tree from GPS - then using the images measured out the 4.9m found a hole roughly there in the right location and had a dig to no avail, day light was running out so had to give up.

Was unable to find the ring and block. Dug one hole only to find stones. I ran out of time to dig anywhere else so will have to return later to try again.

TP23704 The unsuccessful hole.
