My knowledge of this site off the Thames Path is that it was previously a driving range and then used for grazing horses. It has been closed off for a few years. It is next to the old pumping station which I think opens once a month under normal circumstances. Google says: There was formerly an overhead power line crossing of the River Thames between Crossness and Dagenham. The towers were 148.4 metres tall and the crossing had a span of 933 metres, it carried a single 132 kV circuit on the Belvedere to Crosslands line. The crossing was built between 1927 and 1932, and was dismantled in 1987.
