Happy to report this pillar still lives - it has been repositioned on the same side of the road, just beside the exit from the roundabout.

Confused by road layout at the time. Expected a reasonably straightforward roadside location. One way traffic, north west from roundabout off A452 due to new housing estate on south of road. Pulled over on path on north side of road. Walked back along path trying to work out where pillar should be. A lot of trenches and excavation work. Not looking good. A couple of lumps of concrete lying about too. Oh dear. Checked on here. Seems fate is uncertain at present. In the hands of the local authorities. Will have to check back in due course. Annoying to have spent about three quarters of an hour studying map and walking about instead of a couple of minutes. In the area 17/8/24 so after checking on here saw it has been re erected although about 250 metres east of its original location. Parked at small car park by show houses on new estate to west and walked back along the roadside. On a busy roundabout, fairly dull location but it has survived. Credit to local authorities. Including the spider and cap and the OS plaque. Increased score from two to five.

Trig surrounded by heras fencing, a new road widening scheme commencing on 30th June 23 will mean the trig will be removed as it’s in the line of the new road. I’ve written to Warwick council to request it be relocated on a communal grassy area on the new housing estate

In line of new road layout The road is to be widened at the trigs location. This means the trig will be removed. I’ve requested information from Warwickshire County Council on their proposals for the relocation of the trig

Out geocaching with the SDG gang and came across this trig as we were locating a cache. A pleasant surprise to find it on the roadside.

SW side of road with good parking at field entrance 20m or so SE. Becoming embedded into the hedgerow but still accessible. Don't know what the rivet 'Fictitious Station' is all about, it's 'new name' suggests it has a connection to setting up the GPS network; but suspect it doesn't exist. Original matal top cap is retained, indented lettering. Left, right and rear sight holes open, front now belowground level.

Stopped briefly here to record my first Warwickshire trigpoint on a long drive from Southampton to Blairgowrie - not the most auspicious of sites for s4802, difficult parking with the speeding, thrashing traffic nearby. Think I'll move quickly onto Tachbrook Hill Farm for a short walk to find that trig & to ease my aching back....

Easy to find but is not in the most exciting place, pillar is in good condition. It would be interesting to know if there was a gallows close by or if this was just a name for the area.

On grass verge, next to lay-by. Rather uninteresting location. Not in the best of condition. The dribble of bird poo tricking down really summed it up!

I stopped here to revisit my home trig (in car headlights) after an overnight drive from the far north of Scotland. The last pillar I visited before dark had been Tignacarn near Inverness, 503 miles away by road. When I checked the photograph times, these visits were precisely 12 hours apart!

FB on N side with OS anti-vandal notice. S, W & E sighting holes all open with N sighting burried. Allen key plate still on. Walked from Warwick FBM in 20 mins to get here, which I think is some thumping pace. Recovered from the disaster in Warwick car park. How did this trig justify retention by the OS? Must be because it is by the roadside. As I find the location uninteresting and the potential rays seem to be obstucted. I can't make out my next target from here (Windmill Hill).
