Parked at Hadyard hill wind farm entrance and followed windmill road for 1 mile, before following quad bike tracks up to fence line for around half a mile. Last couple hundred meters was over felled trees- had to tread carefully. Great views at summit of Ailsa Craig, Arran and surrounding scenery.

From windfarm entrance to W. Same route as agentmancuso except that the forest has now been felled so instead of weaving between trees I had to gingerly navigate the debris. Original cap still present. Fine 360° panoramic view.

P Hadyard WF entrance to W. Track then quad trail to forest edge then some zigzagging through the trees, not too bad really.

HISTORY: Pillar completed 6th July 1954 costing £38.16s.0d. Computed as tertiary triangulation station NX29/T10 in 1955. Levelled for height value at pillar top also in 1955. Last maintained by the OS in June 1985. SITE VISIT: Parked by forest entrance at NX331996. Followed mapped track to NX310988, firebreak a further 150m SSE then follow gap cut up through trees SW which eventually fades out and the rest is a tree fight. Pillar in good condition. Spider retains OS centre cap with raised large narrow letters. Built without flush bracket. Vented through SE sight hole. Spider leg perpendicular to a pillar edge points 322° NW. Summit is totally surrounded by high conifers so there is no view. Decended via north slope which was not so dense but spongier underfoot. IN OTHER WORDS: Up via same route as Rob. Down via similar route to Rob too.

vgc, metal cap, wide raised letters. Built without FB. In small clearing surrounded by dense spruce, no view. Forest road ends just NE of trig; rides continue W and SSE. I followed the latter a few m, then a trail which had been cut thru trees. This ran out half way, leaving a fight to the trig. Descent due N not too dense - probably the least worst alternative.
