On top of a small granite tor. A small concrete block with a ferrule/pipe inserted. Removing a little turf revealed inscription date 1966.

Possible this is a Brass Plate which has been cut off leaving base of the stalk, but erring on the side of a pipe marker, similar, but larger diameter, to those seen predoninantly on Islay. Lettering inscribed in the mortar reads '1966 HYDROGRAPHIC'
