A wee bit pedestrian this one but completed our triangular Trigs for the day - watch out for the bull - yes, there is a bull - easy to find just follow the two windmills you cant go wrong - had to come down an alternative route due to bull blocking the path. One to tick off the bucketlist.

Parked at the start of the windmill track. Due to the moo situation at the barn i had to cut across the stubble field to south windmill then the trig.

Approached from northeast. Parked in wide entrance to windfarm approach track at NO759820. Pillar in good condition. Spider centre plugged with tar. Flush bracket faces SSW, compass measurement 192°. Vented through NE sight hole. Full 360° panoramic view from top.

Parked in the wide entrance for the turbine access road. Wandered up the road, over two gates and a nice stroll on to the heathery/boggy top. Really good views all round.

Approached this from the road to the east. Up through an extremely watery field in the rain heading for the two silent wind turbines to easily find the pillar within its heathy site. Asphalt-filled cap & all sight-holes closed.

Bagged as YSM505 Droop Hill D2 T2 Easy walk up track past some cows, last 80m or so a big bit boggy but nothing too bad.

Parked at the gate a bit up the track, going up to the wind turbines and climbed over. Followed the rest of the track, then over the long grass to the trig. Nice views of many more turbines in the distance.

Easy walk up on the access road for the wind turbines. I have not been as close to these before and I still find them very majestic.

Trig pillar in good condition. Spider no longer has an OS plug. Flush bracket faces SSW. Within easy walking distance from Stonehaven. Visited and photographed 2/08/2000, GRP.
