Really nice circular walk for this one starting at the Holl Reservoir car park. Muddy at parts through the woods and the trig itself is hidden behind a group of 3 trees up a wee hill.

From Holl reservoir car park. Up good track past East Feal then first right on signposted track to Harperleas. Despite being a wet winter it was mainly dry with board walks on the worst bits. Trig bagged, continued N on path to Harperleas then back to carpark on track. Fabulous nacreous clouds. 7.5km loop

With access to a car today and travelling back north from Edinburgh with the M90 closed due to an accident it made sense to take a burl up Bishop Hill from Holl Reservoir and handy parking. The trig point makes a good addition and I went on to Haperleas reservoir. There is forestry work going on at the moment but I waited until worker in machine saw me and waved me on before carrying on along the path. Trig Point surrounded by 4-5 sitka trees, possibly self seeded. but views to South and East good,

Feeling terrible with heavy 'man-flu' type symptoms, but no chance of wasting such a lovely autumn afternoon, so off for a Fifeshire frolic in the Lomond Hills where during my walk I diverted to visit this nicely situated trig. Pillar has its cap with shallow lettering, and all s/h's open. What a tonic - felt much better at the end of the walk.

Followed the track up from the reservoir car park then diagonally across the open ground to the pillar. Hot day and conditions dry but guess this approach could get tricky if wet. Really good views to the south. As with the East Lomond trig this one is curiously located. Two conifers standing guard either side.
