Log #103. My first BSM-style FB, and a fantastic walk. Started from the Pedreich Wood car park to the west, as the normal access point along the Sheriffmuir Road was blocked off for work on the power lines. Stopped a few times on the way up to admire the scenery (not to get my puff back, honest), and met a few folks on their way back down. Track was very muddy in places, esp. at what is marked as a ford on the map, which is to be expected for such a well-visited hill. Took me about an hour to get to the top, by which time the wind picked up a bit. Still a lingering haze over Stirling, so my photos didn't turn out too great. The trig is in decent condition, recently whitewashed, and the cap is missing and plugged with bitumen or whatever. The memorial, aka "the brazier full of stones" is a bit of an eyesore, but you don't need to look in that direction from the pillar anyway! Had the summit to myself as I sat against the pillar and had my lunch. Top to bottom in 35 mins, including a change of sodden shoes and socks. [ExP-94/MiP-2/BM-7]

One of my favourite spots, lovely views of the winding River Forth and a panorama of Munro's and Corbetts to the north. You can see as far south as Tinto from here as well! Came up via Warlock Glen and then a scramble up Siart Gully. A great hill.
