White pillar at the summit of the Worcester Way footpath, accessed from Wynniatts Way up a reasonably short but quite steep woodland path. There's a nice view from the fence behind the pillar and to the right, but in all other directions there's not a lot to see if you're not interested in trees.

With Myrddyn Phillips. Painted white, wooded summit of Abberley hill, 25 years after first visit. Beautiful day. No leaves on the trees being reason for visit at this time for doing a Trimble survey.

Bagged on a short version of the Abberley Trail - a nice climb up from the church including plenty of steps. Painted white, and with good views slightly further along across to the clocktower and beyond.

Slippy, muddy steps from N then along ridge. Good views on sunny day through leafless branches. Freshly painted white- thanks to whoever did it, possibly Bourneville walkers, by whom- a plaque says- it is adopted

Highly enjoyable woodland walk along the full length of the hill following the Worcestershire Way from Shavers End. Nicely maintained pillar but views not all they perhaps could have been.

The trig stands on the summit of a wooded ridge between Droitwich and Tenbury Wells. The site was reached by walking up from the village of Great Witley and along the crest of the ridge to the trig. Bluebells, wild garlic, birdsong and several slabs of concrete and iron shackles were encountered on the way. The pillar is painted white, its spider is plugged, it has FB 3870 and an adoption plaque is attached to its side. The view from the trig is restricted by the woodland but nearby there is a pleasant vista over the prominent clock tower of Abberley School across a rolling landscape of farmland and wooded hills to a distant hazy ridge.

Bagged on the Great Whitley circuit. Proper Worcestershire mud developed on these folded outcrops of Silurian rocks. Superb views through gaps in the trees on this lovely crisp, sunny February day. Not often you'll walk in Snowdrops, Crocuses, Daffs and Lesser Celendines. Pillar has been adopted by the Bournville Walking Club. I'm surprised they didn't paint it dark chocolate brown.

Did this one whilst out Geocaching with HKMHill doing the Ab Fabberley series. It had just started drizzling and raining, so views weren't too great today. Views however are only to one side with trees to the other side. Elevation 295 meters.

Our 9th and penultimate Worcs trig for the day. Easy access along short, steep path up from the minor road off A443. Adopted 1994 by Bournville Walking Club - it has their plaque on rear of pillar (quick google doesn't throw up who they are or where based). Pillar is in excellent condition with coat of protective off-white paint (that will need touching up soon); cap missing, plug of unknown material recessed into the hole, not flush with top of spider as usual; 1 sight hole open; plinth exposed on 2 sides where it abutts FP. Lovely views SW down the valley to Abberley Lodge, School, Great Whitley and beyond.

On crest of very steep ridge. Even without greenery the trees obscure the views to the NE, but fine view out to hills and Abberley School and clock tower to SW. Bright white coat of paint and plaque to Ramblers' Club adoption.

I haven't been here for about 6 years, so it was good to see the trig in such good condition - Bournville Ramblers are doing a good job! The central plug is missing, however, as has been replaced by a cement bung. The tower mentioned in one of the logs belongs to Abberley Private Boarding School, which is just at the bottom of the hill. Logged this trig on the way to getting nearby Geocache. Super day! Views are better at this time of year when there are no leaves on the trees.

This trig was adopted to be maintained by Bourville Walking club in 1994 and I must say they are doing a great job it is in excellent condition and very nicely painted

Easy access on the Worcestershire way. Although the view is restricted from the point, there is an amazing tower visible to the southwest from a few yards away where there's a gap in the trees.

Fast growing sycamores have blocked the views. Was briefly a marilyn on account of a railway cutting. Then it was filled in. Still worth a visit, especially if you bag Clems.Nearby clocktower is a well known landmark.

Aaah happy memories of a odd but exciting day 10thMarch 1997 that started at 4.30 am at Carsethorn on the Scottish Solway coast below Criffel with destination Reading, Berks via Abberley hill and Milk hill Wilts, to check the relevant cols by dropping plum-lines off two bridges and resulted in them both becoming Marilyns but both only temporarily. Aah such memories of an extraordinary day.
