Re-visit just for photos after coming back on the ferry to bag the eastern TuMP and chat to more golden brown cows one of which was immediately less timid and scared than usual. Let me caress its head and spine. Wonderfull... Lovely gentle creatures, so abused by makind

A visit by ferry from Ly Ness, Hoy with Alan, Rick, Jen and Bryher. In good company, but the weather could have been better with heavily overcast skies and cloud base ~ 100m.

Walk up to the windmill and the trig is about 15m away. Trig is in good condition and offers nice views over to Scapa Flow.

Probably would have scored a nine on this bright, sunny afternoon if it wasn't for the very obtrusive wind turbine swooshing down incessantly above our heads.

A full day walking around Flotta following the Flotta Trail and exploring the relics and buildings left by the two World Wars. Trig is now dwarfed by the large wind turbine. Worth visiting the Peerie Museum by the Post office - a little gem of a museum.

vgc, metal cap, wide raised well-formed letters. Flat somewhat industrialised summit with a covered reservoir and a wind generator. Nice views though - just about a 7. Afternoon visit from Hoy, with a leisurely 1h30 before returning for an evening circuit from Rackwick.
