Terrific views and a short walk from the car, although the ascent is quite steep for the casual walker. Wonderful views of the mythical lake of Glasgyn, as well as the rest of the countryside. Many good birds and butterflies (and sheep).

Fantastic day except for a viciously cold wind. Pillar is on a raised concrete plinth. The plug is missing and there is no paint visible. S/E sightholes open, others closed. Lovely views.

Low cloud and swirling misty weather conditions made the views intermittent but very good for all that. Started from Aberhosan and did a circular route from there. Remnants of what could have been a roman candle on the top of the trig so maybe someone had celebrated the Jubilee earlier.

Short walk up from Wynford Vaughan Thomas memorial. Not much sign of path marked on map. Had to hop fence up & down. Sheeting down with rain, next to no views hence low score. Unfair I know! No plug

vgc, no cap or plug. Compact grass/bilberry summit, albeit in cloud. Easy climb from SE. Rainy start, precursor to a fine day.

before I started hillwalki g we did these tours of regions. this near roadside top was visited because we saw we could.

V good condition,thought it would be quiet but saw peolpe on summit before and after my visit,wonderfull views and a great gateway to the wilds of Plynlimmon range,passed by on Glyndyrs Way 2 years ago been meaning to return,took walk around Glaslyn lake whilst here.

Visit detected today when I stumbled upon photo of pillar and large mountain top lake. (I'm geotagging all my pix). A break on the way back from the Centre for Alternative Technology in its early days.
