From road to SE. Along track, through the gate and stile on RHS gains start of path to summit. A nice little summit topped by trig pillar with good all round views.

Ran up from Penderyn (plenty of side-road parking). Cloud inversion spectacular plus 2 separate fog bows. Went on to Dinas silica mines, Porth yr Ogof (Tolkien must have been in them ) and a double crossing of Sgwd yr Eira.

Parked in Pontneddfechan and after visiting the waterfalls walked through the village to Dinas Rock car park. Followed the footpath that branched right at the four waterfalls trail sign. Sections of the footpath were overgrown with ferns but it opened up into fields. Excellent 360 views.

On a long loop from Pontneddfechan to Penderyn. Trig has great views over the Bannau. Several pints in the Red Lion and back via Sgyd yr Eira where the missus took a dip to general admiration. Now savouring a beer back at base.

As it was my birthday last week and I had a promise of the latest whiskey I arranged for a lift up to Penderyn today walked up church st to the trig first after a few whiskeys there would be no way I'd get up here, lovely views. The trig has a new coat of paint and a dragon on it .Time for a drop of scotch and some food now.

Easy walk up from village in sunny conditions. Second trig of the day. Earlier we visited Cadair Fawr and afterwards we visited Foel Fynyddau, Mynydd Dinas and Broadfield trigs.

Walked from the Dinas Rock car park up the ‘Glass Stair case’, it was a good steady uphill climb for about 2 miles, with the last half mile off track and over flat hilltop sheep tracks. The weather was perfect giving far reaching 360deg views from the pillar. The Flush plate and Spider are in position, but the centre plug is missing and filled with bitumen. all sight holes are open

I would imagine there would be a super view from here but as soon as I hit the top I got a down pour treat. Vertical rain equals quick pics and a hasty retreat to the car! Amazing an hour earlier I was getting burnt walking the Ystradfellte trig!! Plug filled, flush bracket and spider in place.

Exquisite 360 views. Beacons, Rhigos, Penderyn Quarry. Parked in village and walked up on way home from a sunrise on Corn Du (Pen y fan rammed) Wanted to get this one for a while and well worth it.

A lovely little hill indeed. Parked at the bend in the road to the SE for and easy walk up over the stile. Great views today of the beacons and all around. After going back down we did the circular walk via the waterfalls and returned for a drink in the Red Lion.

A HuMP within the Brecons Beacon National Park; very prominent and clearly visible as we drove SW towards it after visiting the Cader Fawr trig. A short, but steep, walk up from the 90deg bend in the road SE of Penderyn. Pillar is in good condition; 3 sight holes open, 1 sealed; cap replaced with bitumen plug. Impressive views E to large mining operations. Although a little further S and W from the main Brecon range and over 100m less elevation than our previous trig (Cader Fawr), views were still very good.

PArking is possible by the bridleway on the corner without obstructing the fence and the entire route is now access land. Unbfortunately todays crisp frost has now given way to an encroaching frontal system so limited views

Grand views from here, and well worth an '8' even given the eyesore of the quarry, which ruins the view in one direction. I love the desolate landscape in the Beacons! (And from here, you can see all the way to Trecastle, TP6568, with ease...)

Easy access to this trig via the bridle path at the sharp corner in the road. There's a stile which gives access to the hill. A steep climb up to this white painted trig. Good views of Penderyn Quary and and the and the open countryside beyond. Tarmac plug.
