Had to add Humbleton Hill to the walk on our way back to the car. Fantastic weather today, superb views in every direction. Whilst Gains Law is a great TP, I'd like to make the observation that Humbleton Hill is undoubtedly the finest hill in Northumberland NOT to have a TP on it! ~~ 16/08/20 2nd visit, different route, up from Humbleton and round Coldberry Hill, and returning via Humbleton Hill. It wasn't the clearest or brightest of evenings, the cloud on the higher surrounding hills suggesting the cloudbase was around 500m, but we came to these moors for a sea of purple heather, and we weren't disappointed. A wonderful evenings walking.
