Drive up on good wind farm roads. Centre tube has lost its cap and is unplugged. One sight hole open. Good views.

Agree - dislike wind farms spoiling our beautiful wilderness but the Government is hell bent on this project. So best take advantage of this vandalism and DRIVE all the way up!

HISTORY: Pillar completed 4th February 1955 costing £15.12s.6d. Possibly intended as a secondary triangulation station, marker NX56/14 was computed as a tertiary station within the Kirkcudbright secondary block during 1958. Levelled for height value at pillar top also in 1958. Last maintained by the OS in May 1985. SITE VISIT: Now amongst the turbines of Artfield Fell Wind Farm. Open access. Pillar beside Turbine, in good condition, built without flush bracket. Spider centre now open. One sight hole open, faces 130° SE. 360° panorama from top barring wind turbines. This deputation marks the completion of OS Landranger 82 for me, all trig pillars on this map now visited.

vgc, metal cap, small raised letters. Built without FB. Wind farm, trig stands beside a generator. Nice view. The 272m is a Yeaman summit.

Artfield Fell wind farm construction site, limited access for the next couple of months. Trigpoint is being left in place will be adjacent to turbine 10 once construction is complete. Access to trig gained as being a member of the wind farm project team. No flush bracket on pillar.
