Parked on Bryn Terrace and followed the road past the water tanks and the sheep fields. The Trigpoint is located in the field adjacent to the public right of way track. Good views in all directions.

Walked up from the car park at Llanwonno, 5km each way. Great views on a clear day, from the Brecon Beacons to the north, and over the Bristol channel to the south.

Parked up after visiting historic church with grave of Griffith Morgan(Runner) Llanwonno at forestry entrance, quick walk through forest to where track veers off right along side wall. passed two gates and trig sits in lush green field. Walked back down through field back to track. Spider, FB and 2 sight holes open no cap. Good views to other trigs in the area.

Second of the day, parked at Penrhys and walked over via Rhondda Gilf Club and Porth. Good well marked paths. Steep climb up, but worth it. Trig set back off path in a pasture. Break in the wall so easy to locate. Excellent condition, spider and FB intact. Onto Cefn Gwyngul.

5/5 from Trehafod following route of Rhondda Rollercoaster challenge walk. From Ton Pentre in Rhondda Fawr, crossed to Ferndale in Rhondda Fach and with track beyond closed due to landslip, took road upward to Old Smokey. Climbed to summit while serenaded by the wild boys on screaming motor cross bikes before a more peaceful journey south along broad ridge, calling into adjacent field to visit pillar, vgc, a little graffiti and well faded paint. Soon after, began the descent to Trehafod, the days end point.

From the N on good farm track RoW, then across sheep pasture. Pillar has yellow paint on 3 sides to approx half-way down. It's lost its top cap and has no plug; rear sight hole open and front plug 90% degraded. Before sunrise and hill fog down so no views.

First pillar visit for quite a long time. Came along with friends who knew the farmer which always helps when you then bump into the farmer when exiting the field. Plug missing. Great views. I thought for a minute that the trig pillar had been moved as there was a square bare patch next to the trig, but on talking to the farmer this is where a vessel holding salt for the sheep had been before he moved it.

Didn't get too close (the tripoint is on private land with no right of access) but the condition appears good. Unlike theb last (grumpy) finder, I had a lovely walk to and from the trigpoint with lovely views and good weather.

Ok views. parked to the N then a short walk in on ROW then across field. Usual S Wales approach ( broken glass, discarded cider cans, burnt out tyres and enough litter to fill a skip every mile) Pillar painted yellow.

Surprisingly easy assent to this trig if you take the right path. The top of the trig has been painted yellow on three sides for some reason. The views from here on a clear day are very good. NE to Brecon, NW to Newport SW to Cardiff and over to Avon.

Pleasant walk through the forest (which has been felled) and up to the trig. Good view of the prominent pit tip above Tylorstown - which is one of the best land marks in the Valleys. Plug missing. OS list the FB No as S2524.
