(2093) Harthill Rise looked good for possible field access going by Google Maps, but since being last photographed by them a dry stone wall has been built, so that put the kibosh on that. Tackled instead from Harthill Lane. Pillar readily visible from there, but at least one horse was in the field today, so I thought this was going to be as good as it gets. Spotted a young lady at the farm off to the left of the PRoW. She contacted the landowner for me, and permission to visit the pillar was freely given. A quick clamber over the gate followed by a limbo dance under the electric fence, and I was at the pillar. Just the one horse in the field as it turned out, and it took no real interest in me. Pillar in good condition - very pebbly! And still retaining its original centre cap. Pillar history: Built on the 13th of November 1937, at a cost of £5 17s 6d. Last maintained by the OS in July of 1986.

Parked on Harthill Lane and walked up the public footpath through the trees. As you emerge, the pillar is on the rise of the hill in the field to your right. After a quick look around, there was no one to ask for access or working in the fields in the area, so rather than hop the slightly-too-high-for-a-dignified-hop barbed wire, I went to the field gate and nipped over. Beware, this gate is a bit flimsy. The pillar sits in a pleasant spot with fine views - although you are clearly visible from several nearby houses. Trig in good condition, the aggregates in the concrete seem to be very prominent for some reason.
