Slightly conical concrete base in middle of the green, parking easy. Sketch states 'rod in top of concrete cistern', and as no rod extant then 'remains' seems logical. However, the hole is threaded, so the trig could be recreated.

Passive station still there. If you had a correctly threaded rod you’d be able to screw into the pipe and accurately centre over it so marked as good.

Parked very near to the remains thatv are on a very well kept green. Found the concrete with the hole in it...not much more to say really.

Bagged as YSM032 Bovingdon Green. A lovely green and a quick find, not what I expected at all. We came armed with the following description: "1" diameter threaded sleeve c. 4" deep in 2 x 2m concrete block. Sketch states cast iron rod in top of concrete cistern. So despite PSD calling it a bolt, it's not"

'Other' kinda lacks definition but at least I can confirm it's definitely threaded. :-) ..one dog walker on a quiet weekend morning.

Well, the hole may be threaded or it may be not but I wasn't going to check today as it was adorned with fox poo. Other than that it was a lovely setting and a very short stroll from the car.

Found as YOSM 032. A most unusual TP as it is essentially just the base but found on a village green. Parking within 50 feet.

Bizzare! A concrete cap next to the playing field, with a threaded hole, which no doubt used to hold the bolt? Spotted a squirrel.

Strange one this - not seen this type before, looks like a hole for a rotating washing line. Is it damaged? not sure - gone with the flow.

Pleasant village green, nice houses, birds singing on a Spring morning, but I did feel trainspottery bagging this. Concrete mound with threaded hole at centre. Nothing to identify what it was for - I wouldn't have had a clue if it hadn't been for this website.

I have not seen anything quite like this before. Not sure how it works but I guess it does. A pleasant village green with easy access and parking close by. Not much else to say about this one really.

I wasn't sure this was it at first, but a quick visit to the OS passive station database confirms that it is. It is set into a concrete mound in the middle of the village green. It should be a capped pipe, but there is no longer a cap on it.
