Went here late June and had to locate it with a small garden fork - left uncovered - nice to see other since have found it since - lady who owns farm not happy with me prodding so took two visits to locate and uncover

Located on wide grass verge, handy for parking, but it's nicely cut so people at Upper Glebe Farm may have a comment if he's passing! Block partially exposed, tidied it up and left even more exposed.

N52 27.748 W0 19.630 Surface block in a wide, level, close mown verge, clear of debris and easy to spot in a neat bare patch. No view, not very exciting, but you can park pretty much next to it !

On the way from Stansted back to Yorkshire after a great few days in Rome. Fairly flat location but great name and easily found. Also logged as the YSOM travelling geocache GC45CC.

Found as YSM634. Used the given grid reference converted to N 52° 27.747′ W ° 19.632′ These were fairly accurate and due to the excellently mowed verge we were able to spot the location from the car as we drove the final few yards to the block.

Thank goodness that the owner of the adjacent farm mows the verges - and does so very well indeed. Easy spot. 1" bolt. 2.8 m from road. Big GPS error around here today.

Easily located today as all the grass on the south side of the road has been cut, all good condition.

Compared with four years back when Peregrinus was here, the surroundings are much more hostile to anyone trying to find this. Hedges now so tall you cannot use any of the sight-lines from the OS diagram (Transmitter masts and telegraph poles are just invisible through the foliage) Only found this one by measuring up the road from the marked gate post with my father's trusty old surveyor's tape. Luckily its 120ft long!

No yellow paint on road now, just except on top surface of Block. Was covered in grass cuttings, found fairly easily by the slight dip in the ground. I measured it as 2.8m from road edge, but no obvious landmark W-E so could be tricky to find, although GPSr took me within approx 3 metres.

Took the OS drawing, but found it quickly and accidentally, then discovered that there is a newly painted yellow arrow on the road with OS written beside it. The block is also painted yellow round the edges. Easy to bag right now!

I must admit that I didn't expect to find this as no-one has been for years, so it was an unexpected joy to stumble on it easily! Good views to the S but otherwise just a normal road-side location.

Missed this one completely. I was looking about 100m too far up the road. Will catch this one on a later visit now that I've confirmed the position from the OS GPS website. 2nd visit 28 Mar 2005 Easily found on southern verge of road.
