I would love to claim that I walked from Combe Martin via The Hangmen summmits. Sad to say I didn't I used the near by car park and followed the track up hill. There was still some of last weeks snow on the ground. Fantastic early morning views. There is a small memorial stone dated 23.7.1958 near by with the initials G.K. on. If you think running round the countyside visiting concrete blocks and small metal bolts and rivets is odd. Look up who G.K was. X Files weird.

Bagged trig on way home from Whit Holiday weekend on Exmoor with my dear wife! Lovely views of Lundy Island and Gower Coast.Large cairn nearby.

Parked in the lane-side carpark and hiked up in a bitter easterly gale. Buzzard quartering the ground just in front of me took little notice! There is damage to the top surface of the pillar and the plug is missing. The east face was snowbound! No paint. All sightholes are open. Concrete case exposed all round up to 3" on W face. Fantastic views along N Devon and Somerset coastline and inland over a snow-covered Exmoor. Would be a great spot on a good day - today I could hardly stand up!

I'm logging this one as slightly damaged since it looks to have suffered some erosion around the top, the spider has numerous dents, and the plug is missing. It wasn't a clear day when I visited, but when it is, Wales will be visible. Second nearest trig to my old home and just about within walking distance from it.
