By chance Argos Hill Windmill was having an open day - incredible building, well worth a visit. They gave us tea and cakes. Managed to bag the trig as well.

An interesting location by the windmill. However, the fact it is private is made very explicit, and the trigpoint is behind numerous fences. I can appreciate it must be annoying for the landowners if people have been trespassing in the past. However, I couldn't even see it on this occasion. :-/

Parked opposite Argos Hill Farm and walked along road/track to Argos Hill windmill. 2 layers of fencing and plenty of private property signs erected by owners of Mill House-bordering on passive aggressive. Decided against fence hoping or trespassing As sign up warning trespass in hands of solicitors. Trig visible from grounds of windmill.

Owners not in, all gates wide open. A neighbour seemed to think they are getting a little awkward with allowing access to the trig, suspect there are some for the windmill too. Visible from the road (probably only as gates open) so took the opportunity, but didn't hang around. Pillar retains an original centre cap, lightly indented lettering.

Second pillar of the day next to a windmill (covered in scaffold and sheeting). Gates to driveway wide open, so made a hurried visit across lawn hoping I wouldn't be spotted.

Revisit to this one as was unable to get close last time - I went with the intention of asking at the house, I could not find the house as the grounds are so big, i went into the main gate and bagged it while looking for the house - pillar good condition - windmill still in wraps.

Number 2 of 5 today. Knocked at the house at the bottom of the windmill (the windmill belongs to the council) and the nice lady said it was not in her garden but would be in the Mill House, so up the path to the house, knocked and no answer, so a window of opportunity arose. Remembering that "trespass - a civil wrong - is a matter between you and the landowner, security and the police 'escort you from the premises'. Access is by means presented, not created. So we walked through the gap in the hedge, taking nothing but memories and leaving nothing but footprints. Trig in good condition, nice location.
