Four hours out walking from home. Only visited once before in September 2000 and then the TP and water tank were just at the edge of the field - no spinney or b/w fence around them. Ascended via footpath from bottom of Leckwith Hill (not recommended) - returned via footpath that comes out on driveway by houses.

Satellite photos help here because the clearly visible concrete water tank is within a couple of meters of the trig. I have marked this as a five because the immediate view from the trig is poor due to obscuring trees. Walking around a bit pays off because you get a feel of what the views may once have been. The Garth Hill trig TP3324 is visible with all three burial mounds. Also nice views over the channel.

We managed to park at the end of Woodlands Lane just before the farm and where one footpath drops back down into the woods. We took the path past the mast and then followed hedge lines to the trig. We were to the east of the hedge where the trig is and this involved climbing over a pretty mean barbed wire fence. Easiest way would be to keep to the west of the hedge where some new trees have been planted. The trig is next to a suppurating concrete water tank in a thicket of young conifers. As R W says not a brilliant spot. Plug with indented lettering.
