Trig point located on the side of a hill rather than the peak, which seemed slightly peculiar. Great views across south Bristol, likely the reason why it is located here. Minor vandalism/spray painting.

The drive from the last trig (TP4603) was rather exciting along very narrow and twisty lanes. Only came across one milk tanker coming the other way. Finally parked in Kencot Walk and walked up the path at the end of the road. Very soggy underfoot. Clouds looked threatening but it stayed dry. I could see that a motorbike had gone up the FP and churned up the mud. Over a metal style and then across an empty grassy field with some signs of cow poo but no cows. Trig is just after another open gate below the FP/farmers track. Its not at the top of the hill but does have good views over Bristol. Last one for today as the days are short and want to get home in the light. Still its good to feel that I have ticked off a couple of the remaining Bristol ones. Only 5 more to do around here. Looks like I will only do 33 this year but then I have had other things that were more important and I did do the Birmingham Canal Network in my spare time instead!

Six hour wait for flight at Bristol Airport so parked the bag in left luggage, got airport bus to Withywood and did a loop to include North Hill and Dundry pillars.

Decided to take a longer flatter route to this pillar from N51° 24.012' W2° 37.729' via N51° 23.960' W2° 37.127' through gate 1 at N51° 24.046' W2° 36.880'and then a second gate 2 a wee bit down the hill. Sad looking pillar with some good views. Yet again this took much longer than expected and you can’t rush about in this heat!

Parking to the West at fly-tip central! then along by-way to field, was on wrong side of wide hedge to start with you need to go round to the North side and then back into the corner, fallen tree still sitting on top of pillar, looks to be in good condition. no evidence of remains of it's predecessor.

I parked in the village of Dundry then walked the "Bristol Ramblers" footpath to get to this one. Just over a mile walking distance but the weather was warm and sunny and I fancied stretching my legs. Pillar in s sorry state. Views over the city make this one worthwhile otherwise I wouldn't rush to bag this. Cows in field but not a problem for a change. Set tripod up and took the usual selfie before walking back to Dundry.

Half mile walk along muddy track from minor road to the W, where good parking is available. This replacement pillar was found on N side of wide hedgerow, still with a felled tree resting on top of it making access a little awkward, but there has been some work on cutting back branches so it's possible to get close. Lots of red and blue paint on it and the FB is a yellow-cream colour. Cap missing, cement plug; RHD side and rear sight hole open. Extensive views N over the city.

Asphalt cap. Old graffiti still present. Under a pile of ivy from collapsed tree. Nice day with views across to Clifton Bridge and Welsh hills. Took the loppers and gave this one a really good prune. Now at least there is a clear tunnel through the foliage to permit viewing of FB.

A horrible muddy climb up the hillside from Withywood.Has recently been used by motor trail bike. Footpath is unsigned but obvious to start with then scaffold poles instead of stiles.Path to right (West) not now on original line but lower through gateway. Pillar is now at top corner of field to left (South). In undergrowth and supporting large tree trunk. Even thwarted on view as low cloud has rolled across. The things we do in this hobby!

Nature has tried to reclaim this trig - a tree has fallen literally on top of it. I pushed my way through the branches to make contact. Might be "unreachable but visible" for some people. See other comments for directions :-)

Half-mile walk along track from road to Dundry. Trig is on north side of fence and tree-y hedge near SE corner of field. Pillar daubed with blue and red paint and - oddly - foil but otherwise in decent condition; concrete plug; FB faces E; N & W sightholes open, others plugged. Position logged from GPS device accurate to ±5m.

Parked at the end of the lane to the west and walked the 800m to the trig. As mentioned it's the other side of the hedge from the path, but can be easily accessed from the field to the north. Fabulous views over Bristol and beyond to Wales, with Purdown, Clifton suspension bridge, the first(?) Severn bridge and the Wills building all clear, and views to the hills in south Wales. This was my first bag since moving to Bristol, and my first with my iPhone, which promptly ran out of battery so no pics!

Parked just off Broadoak Hill, walked along the track pass a house, through a gate and over two stiles, after the 2nd stile transfer off the main track inside the next field N keep walking E, the trig lies in the hedge 20m from the stile. Someone has coloured the fb yellow!

This one took some finding as it's nestling behind bushes and isn't that obvious from the path. Set on a concrete plinth and painted white. The flush bracket is painted yellow - makes a change from the blue one we found at Twerton Hill. Lovely views over Bristol. Bizarrely, even though we were in the middle of the countryside, we could still hear an ice cream van from Withywood below playing "The Teddy Bears Picnic". Concrete plug.

Approached from Broadoak Hill ST566667. The track running east is initially good but deteriorates so much later that I had to get into the adjacent field to avoid deep flooded ruts. The trig point lies on the north side of a barbwire fence, easy to get under. Good views over Bristol including the Clifton Suspension Bridge and the Severn Bridges.
