Witnessed a bit of an unfortunate incident in the hamlet of Heathstock on the way here. Put a bit of a damper on the day. Able to drive uphill about 500 metres east of Heathstock, pulled into field entrance at base of hill. Headed east, uphill, steep climb. Pillar at top. Fairly straightforward. Excellent views except slightly obscured to north by small clump of trees but they make it quite a pretty spot. Cap missing. Named as Beacon Hill on my map but Paradise Farm sounds much better.

A great location for a trig. We arrived here during a walk from Dalwood along lanes, past iron age settlements and along ancient ridgeways. Despite living in Exeter this whole area is new to us.

Parked in steep gateway on very skinny back road and hopped the gate. Trig pillar on top of steep hill, beautiful views far reaching. Pillar in good condition. Had the pleasant addition of two llamas in field!! Different.

Walked here from Dalwood. Bullocks in field, so asked permission at Heathstock Farm (Beacon Hill no longer belongs to Paradise Farm). Wonderful views but too many cowpats for an enjoyable picnic!

A superlative location. Negotiated narrow lanes and parked to S then climbed into field by old sunken lane and up to TP at N end of ridge line. Plug missing but extensive windswept views through 360 degrees over beautiful Blackdown Hills and down to the coast at Seaton. Save this for a clear day - and as pers others, bring a picnic.

A cracking trig being fairly easy to access by car and with a number of nearby walks and fantastic views (especially on this gorgeous Indian Summer's day). Good place for a picnic.
