Parked at the crossroads at Ty-hen and walked down the narrow lane to the coastal path. About a mile in, took the second gate and trig sits in the middle of the field. Cows were near the farm so avoided them.

Paid the man his due (machine) and logged the trig. Spent an hour sunbathing to get my monies worth! Trig in field with lots of cows but luckily they were all at the car park side so I walked around PROW and then hopped the second gate and up unnoticed by all to log trig. Has a little moat around it and appears to be used as a rubbing post, quite shiny! No cap but trig, FB and spider all good. Small chip on one part of top (so very slight damage) but that was all/will post picture. 2 SH open.

Walking outstanding sections of the Lleyn Peninsula Coast path. Caught bus from Tudweiliog to Pwllheli then another bus to Aberdaron before cutting across to Mynydd Analog and following the coast back. Trig can be easily reached from coast path via sealed farm gate as a quick out and back. Very clear and Ireland visible.

High score as it involves walking over the fantastic Whistling Sands beach. Quick hop over the fence after a 45 min walk....cows further up field thankfully...a stealthy retreat and back the same way.

Used the NT car park near Porth Oer (free for members, otherwise £5) and then enjoyed lovely walk along coastal path above Whistling Sands (no dogs during summer) and then views of rocky coves until reached another sandy beach at Porth Iago, about 50 mins. The trig is just beyond here and visible from the coastal path. The gate to the field it is in is wired shut, but not a significant hindrance, should one be determined to approach the trig. I awarded a seven because of the pleasant walk and great views; there was also a pop-up snack bar (in aid of air ambulance) selling nice baps.

Walked the costal path from whistling sands to avoid the farmers charge of driving through his land. Trig in fenced off field which we didn’t want to venture into.

Walked the coastal path from Whistling sands to avoid the farmers charge of crossing their land. Could see the trig from the path but it was in the middle of a fenced off field, with active cattle inside.

Parked on grass verge at Ty - Hen and walked down lane towards Pen y Borth . The map shows a section of bridle way through this property to join the coastal path, took this route although no signage. Followed coastal path and new fence line west along coast until trig point sited. Several gate in the fence line give easy access to this field. Short walk into field to take photo's .

Drove into Ty-mawr farm but baulked at the £5 parking charge so drove out. Parked on wide grass verge at entrance to the farm, walked along road towards Pen y Borth then veered off left at a field gate across pastures to the small caravan site, through that and across another pasture to the trig. Nice location. Pillar has some chipping to 2 top edges but otherwise good; original cap is retained, raised lettering; LHS sight hole open. Nice sea views.

Paid the £3. OS maps show no path round this part of the coast but it has now been approved. It is signed and walkers were using it. Lovely cove and beach.

Was just about able to see the flush bracket number without the use of a torch. A benefit of being this far west at midsummer. Managed to get some new 'off limits' coast walked this evening, from Porth Oer to Porth Widlin. Rewarding end to a brilliant day!

Follow the signs for Porth Lago onto private road. Charge now £3 at machine in farm but carry on to car park, it is worth it. TP sat in middle of meadow but lovely cove and beach.

Farmer obligingly left his manure spreading trailer in the way and prevented us from paying £2 to access the carpark. Walked the 500m or so to the TP. Sits on a plinth surrounded by a small moat. Good views along the coast having squeaked our way over the whistling sands bay previously. Nearly done for the day.

Paid the £2.00 to drive through the farmyard and park above a lovely cove. Asked farmer for permission as met him on lane. Grumpy, but not really bothered!! Nice campsite adjacent.Pillar in good condition.

Followed coast up from Porth Oer but this is trespassing. Trig in grassy field with cattle grazing. Approached from sea ward side before following coast around to Porth Ferin.

Metal plug [raised letters]. On private land belonging to Ty-mawr Farm. Permissive access to nearby Porth Iago cove & may be no objection to walking over to trig. Field gate unlocked, field itself bit on scruffy side [no livestock, but has clearly hosted cattle]. Redeemed by a backdrop of the sea. My 45th & last Caernarfonshire trig pillar.

We paid £2.oo for parking at Ty Mawr which entitled us to almost rip the bottom of the car off as we drove through the shitty farmyard. The trig was in a field which had been recently muck spread. Lovely! Plug with raised lettering.
