Parked at pull in next to gate at high point of B-road to north. A short walk down hill to sharp corner where stile and FP leads up through furze to fishery. Nice walk around lake and track to summit in glorious late afternoon sunshine. Didn't need the rope to get up to pillar as its been one of the driest, sunniest Marches on record. Did note on drive away that parking on A-road to south was non-existent and entrance to fishery road blocked with metal bollards.

Followed the same route in as Kevlar. The FP in from the steep stile is somewhat overgrown with gorse but passable. Lovely walk around the quiet lake and then up to the trig point. The mention of a rope in previous logs had me wondering what to expect but it is somewhat unessessary as the path up is walkable. Smashing views from the top today.

My 250th Trig and it was a memorable one. Parked on a narrow road, the junction of which is off the B5430 near North Hills Farm. Pick up a PRoW which is very overgrown, clearly rarely used anymore. This path leads to a lake. Turned right, walked to the other side and the trig is on the hill to the right. It has knotted rope wrapped around the pillar to aid in the steep slippy climb up. A cold windy day so not much to see today.
