5/6 with Debi. Not easy to find and went up a few wrong paths between houses; was about to give up. Went a bit further north and found the narrow path jonglew referred to below. Walked up there, then noticed it in the small field to the right - it was all pretty secure though. We walked round the front and saw it from the road over a gate; obviously owned by the adjacent overlooking house and their three horses. We went round to the house gate and called out politely. We were greeted by the friendly owner who let us into the field for a picture. I mentioned it not being on the map and reports of it maybe being moved. He said he's been there 30 years and it's not moved in that time, although there used to be a shed in front of it (blocking views from the road). He mentioned others have called for the same reason and he once found someone in there he was concerned could have been eaten by an Alsatian :-)

Roadside verge parking ~50m NW along road. Walked back to a narrow alley starting due E of the trig. Pillar sits in the middle of a small grassy field (paddock pehaps?), accessed it from the SW side. Looks like typical flailer damage, despite no hedgerow present, to the top. Centre cap missing, tube sealed with a composite disc. All sight holes now below ground level. No views.

Parked on Brand Road. Followed the directions kindly provided by @THE CYCLIST. Thank you. There is a large chunk missing on one corner at the top. The pillar is a primary. One final note, this pillar appears to have been moved as it is now in open ground well away from any trees and hedge. Furthermore, the flush bracket is now at ground level. Moreover, looking at previous photos, it certainly looks like the pillar was in a different location back then to where it is now. Hence, my view is it has been relocated within the compound - to a better area in my view compared to the previous one

Thank to all the previous logs for making this now an easy find. The trig is a very miserable place under the tree. A quick in and out thankfully no barking dogs.

The only challenge is access over the two metal gates. I climbed over the fence and turned green due to algae. The pillar has peeling original paint. One corned is chipped off. Zero views. A tragedy for the pillar. I picked my way over gates gingerly easing giant brambles out of the way.

Further to The Cyclists helpful info., once on the track I found it easier to walk a further 6m past the gates (which led to a very overgrown area) and climb over the wooden fence. Then straight ahead to pillar in trees

Not shown on OS 1:50,000. but noted on OS website. Checked on this Website as present and looked at Peregrinus's notes. Rode up and down road trying to decide which trees he was referring to. Occupants just leaving bungalow that seemed most likely. The lady said that there had been a pillar but that it had been removed. Let them drive off while having a drink and studying map for onward route wondering whether to nose round in their absence. Saw man exit next house along pushing steel I-beam on trolley and made enquiries of him. "Yes it's just across that ground in hedge"! Look for large gates with "Peacehaven" in large metal letters. there is a track to fields immediately adjacent and a few feet along this are two low metal gates on the right. Cross these and straight across the rough ground beyond and the pillar is just hiding in the cypresses beyond your side of the fence!

We were in the area doing a few local caches and the location of this trig is shown on Memory Map, right by the road, and as we were driving right past the thing we thought it would be a nice easy find, a quick search and no trig so we went on our way caching, it was only when we arrived home and checked it out that we found it was missing...must check first in future before trying to find something that's not there.
