A day walking from Rhossili with Alma Aurea. The tides were low in the morning so we went out to Worms Head first, visiting the two summits Inner and Outer. Some fun scrambling over the rocks and in places but nothing too hard and stunning scenic. Then in the afternoon we walked up Rhossili Down to the summit and then back via Hillend. A really god viewpoint at the trigpoint over the Worm and this end of the Gower Peninsula.

Parked in Middleton near to start of bridleway, walking up passing a reservoir on good track to the trig point. Sunny day but the wind is a bit rough today. The views out along the coast are fantastic.

One of my favourite trigs of all, this requires a long, steep trudge to get to the top, but once you do, the views (in all directions but across the coast in particular) are absolutely exceptional. A must-visit.

A very special place and a walk I never will never get tired of doing, especially on a warm, clear sunny evening.....not a soul around and only wild ponies for company. I walked from Middleton along the hill and down a rocky ridge to the campsite and returned via the beach to Rhosilli. Given to that "chuffed feeling" you get, when your plans to travel by public transport in this country actually do work. Let's be honest, the appalling state of our transport systems is not encouraging.

8 mile circular taking in Harding's Down, Rhossili Down trig and Llanmadoc Hill trig in sunny/windy conditions. Quite a few people about mostly on Rhossili Down. Good views but a bit hazy to see too far. Afterwards we drove to and bagged Ryer's Down trig, Cefn Bryn trig and Bishopston FBM.

Super views, not too difficult climb from Rhossili, and passing a building with flush bracket 11188 on route. A strong wind carried the scent of heather so all in all a very enjoyable pillar visit.

Super walk up from Rhossili, Parked in the church car park, honesty box, lot closer for the start of the walk. Simple up hill 20 minutes and your next to trig and have some of the best close up views of Worms Head. Trig is in good condition on plinth some weathering to base but Flush Bracket, Spider and Plug are all in place. First of 3 for today!

Made it up here in the 41mph winds, no one else was seen on the entire length of the Down other than the ponies. The 360 degree views are well worth the walk along the ridge.

One of those pillar that commands a good view. It can be seen from our B&B in Reynoldston. Parked in Rhossili CP (£3). And walked a "Round". Up Rhossili Down, along the ridge (another Devonian Breccia ridge) descended down to Hillend and returned via the coast path. An excellent walk. Fine views to the Worm's Head and Whiteford Point. In fact in all directions. A top location.

Bagged this along with Llanmadoc Hill on a lovely circular walk from Rhossili, returning along the coast path. Both hills also being HuMPs. Lovely weather and beautiful country - our first visit to the Gower peninsula. Pillar is in good condition, coat of white paint fading now but not flaking; original cap in place; 1 sight hole open. Logged this after doing the Summit of Worms Head. Easy bag, a steep climb to the top, but well worth the view. Was blowing a gale at the top, so much that we were unable to get to stand on "Our Spot" never mind.

After a meal prior to attending the Sunset on the mega event we walked up to the trip point. Not a good idea having just had fish and chips. Met several other people who had had the same idea. Wonderful views.

YSM444 (Rhossili Down) After a meal and a drink in the Hotel there was just time to nab a nearby cache and this Trig Point/YOSM before our Event Cache "Sunset on the Welsh MEGA Event". After nabbing the nearby geocache "Take Off" it was a easy walk over to the Trig Point. Got the phone out to take a photo only to find that the battery was flat! Still logged the number on the plate and e-mailed it off to the Cache Owner.

The pillar is highly visible and easily accessible being at the side of a public footpath. I parked in the church car park (donation) and simply walked up to the top of the cliffs and the trig. Pillar is in very good condition and retains an original plug. An absolutely wonderful location particularly on a lovely spring day.

Visited this trig on many occasions as in my own humble opinion, there's no view finer than that of Rhossili Bay. Happy to see this is now a YOSM cache too.

vgc, white, metal cap, deep letters. Great piece of coast, fine view even on a cold drizzly day. This time, climbed from SE, parking at top of road near cattle grid, saving some distance and a £2.50 parking fee.

On Rhossili Down you can see 2 Neolithic burial tombs, Sweynes Howes. Bronze Age cairns, an Iron Age Hut Circle and an Anti Aircraft defence site, Chain Home Low Station.

I'm sorry, but I think this must have one of the best views of any trig point in Great Britain! I relived memories of 25 years ago, going out fishing on Worms Head overnight, catching and cooking mackrel on an open fire, sleeping under the stars and then going straight into work the next day.

I parked at St Mary's Church car park, I gave a donation. Returned here just at sunset. Awesome view, especially at this time, but wind was howling! Took loads of photos of the pilar and the area.

Great spot with good views of the Bay and Worms Head.Parking at church{donation} or further down if full.Nice walk which can be extended to Hillend then back along beach if you wish.

Really good condition. Really nice views if weather is good! Can get very windy as exposed to the elements!

Me on a very windy trig point! As you may tell by my expression.. the wind was strong and facewards!

TP in stunning location with extensive views, seaward and landward. A day out with my daughter to explore Worm's Head, and then a hike up to Rhossili Down when the tide had covered the causeway. A great day.
