Walked here from Cirencester (A very long walk!). Path to the trig is on a permissive path on land owned by the Bathurst Estate. Permissive access from sunrise to sunset or 8am to 5pm (depending on which signs you look at). Trig in good condition, but missing centre plate of spider.

Parked by the gate at the end of the horse ride and walked up to the trig. An easy find, and only required a tiny bit of gardening to sit on the top!

From first logger.. Revisit 23 years on, specifically for air dry clay FB impression. After Rambling Paul's post expected it about 50metres in...actually 140metres from road on walk SW side of eastern hedge. FB facing SW.. So no need for gardening unless you'd wanted top pic. Annoying need for a re-visit again a week later for a mini folding saw that I suspected may have fallen out of my little rucksack. I was right and it was still there lying in the grass...!

Good condition pillar in a hedgerow along a bridleway. FB faces southwest-ish with all sightholes now below ground level. Cap missing. No real views but pleasant round walk taking in the nearby FBM + Berntsen and FB on the church

Usually geocaching on a Sunday but only had a couple of hours so went out to find some trigs instead. Parked in gateway and short stroll to pillar. Pleasant countryside but no real views.

Fourth of the 'Sapperton 4'. Final trig in this area, a pillar at last! Located on the Bathurst Estate but not too far from the road with good parking. Found, mostly buried in hedgerow, in good condition despite missing cap and no plug. Sight holes at front and side closed, rear was inaccessible without cutting back a lot more hedge than I had tools for. Virtually no views due to surrounding hedgerows.

I parked at on the road at its junction with Bishops Walk. Then walked north-west along the wide grass track to the pillar. It is backed up against a hedge but the flush bracket is on the track side. The pillar is in good condition although the original metal plug is missing making the top open to the elements.

Nearest extant pillar to home, so had to come along and see it at some point! Situated on Bishop’s Walk on the Bathurst Estate, 150m from minor road and less than 20m from recent excavations - a lucky escape! FB faces SW onto broad path. Pillar missing plug but otherwise in good condition. As others have said, though, not the most interesting views from here! Position logged from GPS device accurate to ±5m.

Located a few meters off the road on a path - right next to new pipeline work - lucky the route was not a few meters further along - Pillar good condition missinig cap and plug - nice quiet area.

The Bathurst Estate seem to be quite liberal about allowing access onto their extensive swathes of land. Bishop's Walk is accessible between 08.00 and 17.00 hours. No bikes, picnics or fires - seems fair enough. Fields to either side were planted with clover - a honey bees paradise. Plug missing.

An easy one. About 100 yards off a lane tucked in the right hand hedge of the Bishops Drive, a walk on the Bathurst Estate. The central plug is missing but otherwise it's OK and fortunately [for once] the flush bracket faced outwards! A lot of white paint left on it. A pleasant spot but no real views in any direction.
