Bagged this on the way home from KFL Swanley. Nowhere to park a distance away to make a good run out of it so just parked by a gate near the entrance to the field. the field was recently ploughed so easy to find. quite good views.

About two miles north east of Brands Hatch motor racing circuit along Threegates Lane. Pulled over at T junction opposite a gate into the field beyond. Pillar not quite visible from the gate. On foot under gate across stubble field for about two hundred and fifty metres, north east. Raised S prefix on FB number. Good views to the west and north. Dogs barking at nearby farm. Just before sunrise. Great name.

Parked in Three Gates Road (love the literal name) in the layby and, after squeezing out past nettles, had to wait for about 20 cars to go by to get to the gate at the junction. I imagine this area would have been quite peaceful if I hadn't picked a day when Brands Hatch was on and the main road was closed with a detour leading everyone this way. On entering the gate, I walked downhill to the right a bit to pick up the track and not harm the wheat crop, then followed it back up the hill and off into the field up to the trig. Nice view across the fields from here, although not a great deal to see. Trig in decent condition but needs a bit of love from loggers.

Narrow lanes, parking tricky, got in at TQ 5863 6717, field gate, but posts erected so no vehicular traffic likely to use it. Arable field with a crop - very muddy. Pillar has a 'BSM' stylr FB; no top cap/plug; RHS sight hole open, LHS plug dgrading. Extensive views - N/NW best.

Very isolated trig, a long walk up from the valley through 2 fields. Not a sign of life anywhere!

This is one of those that has bugged me for a while and I have had several half hearted attempts over the last few years - today was successful - Access from Scudders Hill to the South West then across stubble field to pillar, route is not over looked despite it's location - Pillar good condition, farmland views. This (along with Chimhams Farm) must be one of the least visited pillars in the south.

in the middle of a recently harvested wheat field. The base appears to be undermined marginally by large burrow hole - rabbit or bigger? Easy access(to the field) from scudders hill - this was my target on 6m round trip jog from brands hatch. pleasant location - damsons, blackberries, cobnuts, greengages to be had in the lanes surrounding

freshly harvested wheat field rainbow faintly visible as an arc in the sky !

I'm writing this in Aug 2018 having just dug out some old maps and found notes on a few trigs I did 20+ years ago before I even realised this site existed! This was the fifth on a long trig-bagging trip from home (at the time) in Biggin Hill and my map notes say, "Hurrah! Easy access across wheatfield. Views pleasant but not spectacular".
