I parked on Martha Road for the short walk along the PROW to the small wooded area alongside an open field. The pillar is covered in graffiti and sends out a completely different message to the one conveyed by the new housing development. It is in generally good condition and retains the original centre for the spider.

By the water tower. The wood is well walked and has a few snowdrops. The pillar is intact and in good shape other than the red graffiti. As I left a tanker left the reservoir complex near by. I was to see this tanker or its mates many times this afternoon.

Skitteridge Wood Note the fence post. The reservoir compound was once much larger.

In a copse behind a raised and covered reservoir and water tower. The trig is in reasonable condition with a strange appearance having at one stage been painted white and then sprayed with red graffitti.

Visited some time in mid 80's on training run from central Derby. There are much better places round here to get a good view.
