Parked in village of Winterbourne Stickland. Walked east up Chalky Hill at southern end of village . Actually probably could have driven up as tarmac but pleasant walk anyway. At end of tarmac road continue east through gate. Follow hedge line. After a couple of hundred metres pillar visible on north side of hedge. Thinner vegetation near this point makes access easier although still have a barbed wire fence to duck under. Fortunately FB faces north. Unfortunately it has been defaced. Views to north towards radio mast and across open field. Good views to south from south side of hedge. Spider and cap in place. Cleared away encroaching ivy.

Walked through woodland and some lovely downland from Milton Abbas to reach this trig after passing through the attractive village of Winterborne Stickland. Called in at St Mary's Church whose east window is based on that of Crathie Church in Aberdeenshire which I've also visited recently. I like coincidences like that. Approached the pillar from the north side of the hedge (thanks fellow trigpointers). Original cap in place (making it all five visited today retaining their caps: good; and four of the five found in prickly hedges: bad). Now off to find some more Winterbornes.

Field now ploughed right up to hedge and v. muddy after heavy rain. As you approach the highest point in the field from the direction of Winterborne Stickland, you'll find TP about 20yds before the last prominent tree in the hedgerow. It's so overgrown that I could still have failed to find it. About 2sq ft at the foot was visible. Took the only photo I could. If passing again, I'll take secateurs!
