3/3 for the day. Parked at lay-by and followed PROW along field edge to solar farm. Farmer was out feeding sheep so asked permission to visit trig which was readily given. Trig has commanding views over Aberthaw and the Bristol Channel. Trig is in good condition with spider and FB intact

Parked opposite building in field car park and walked back to fence and PROW lots of farm trucks working in a relay action up and down the road so made this a quick visit as previous log passed the solar farm on left. FB, spider and cap all in place.

Parked in bus stop lay bye, walked footpath south towards the new solar farm fence line then turning west to the trig point. Good views to the south out over the Bristol channel.

Nice cycle ride through the lanes to the bus stop on A48. Took RoW around edge of field then alongside the solar farm to the pillar. Lovely winter morning after storm arwen. Good views over the Bristil channel.

followed jonglews approach. No cap or plug. Sheep in field seeing me at pillar all came towards me baaing loudly. Made a swift exit with sheep following! Would I make it? They soon lost interest.

We parked in the bus layby and took the same route as Father Ted, so access to the rear is still favourite. Normal plug with no lettering - very rare.

Not sure if the rear access will last farmer was up on a tractor while I was logging today and I think he may have been ploughing further. Not wanting a chat I didn't look to see if a plough or harrow were in place. Number 8 for the day.

I was lucky that this trig was reachable via the footpath to the east. Crops had been planted north of the trig and east of the trig had been ploughed, but by walking the eastern and then southern field edge I got to open grassland to approach the trig itself which sits on a small tumulus. Plug intact. This is the County Top of the vale of Glamorgan if you are using a modern list of Welsh Counties!
