Parking as per jonglew. Instead of heading through the farm I diverted into the forest which was a big mistake. Boggy trenches and fallen trees made for slow progress. There are a lot of windthrown trees near the summit which I suspect won't be cleared for some time. Returned via Urrall House!

Parked ~150m N of the cattle grid on track to Urrall House (NX 2934 6890). Walked ~60m past gate to house then took field gate on left to curcumnavigate the house, passing through another field gate at NX 2919 6961 before entering the forest. Direct line from there through easy, mature, trees to large clearing with trig at the hill summit. Pillar constructed with no FB; original centre cap retained, raised lettering; one sight hole open, the other holes all have mortar plugs that are degrading. No views.

Only the fifth log for this pillar joining a few of the glitterati of the trig bagging World. Cap with badly cast raised lettering. Don't know why the OS didn't reject this batch and make the foundry cast them again properly...!

Followed owner of URRALL all way up her drive! Allowed me to park by house and directed me to small gate across field behind house to access forestry. Once across field, turn right to shortly find ride thru' trees giving easy access to trig. BEWARE - low strand electric wire at base of gate on field/forest boundary - I found out the hard way!
