Easy to spot the nice iron gates whilst walking along the road. Still open as well but didn't want to take advantage of home owner's good nature by disturbing them. Easy to see the metal shed from the road but pillar disappointingly obscured by a pile of lawn clippings!

The electric gates are in place but thankfully open so I didn't need to "Curtail my Walpoling Activities". Walked up the drive where the homeowner greeted me. He was a very welcoming and said there was no problem checking over the pillar. Typical fenland views, but the houses were nice.

Parked opposite Townsend House in Walnut Road. Trig visible but we still asked at house. All ok. We understand that electric gates are being installed in the future.

Funny place for a trig! This is the westernmost pillar in Norfolk, which I bagged on the way to Stratford-upon-Avon from a motorhome holiday in Hingham. Didn't bother yomping up the drive as it's clearly visible from the road. Walpole St P is a lovely village with a cathedral-like church and some nice footpaths - worth a visit if you're passing.

(2020) Not for the first time today, wobbly directions lead me astray, but eventually I found the right location. Walnut Road for parking. Pillar readily visible next to the shed as I walked down the drive. Halfway down I was joined by a inquisitive three-legged cat. At the house they was clearly used to triggers stopping by, so my request came as no real surprise, and permission to visit the pillar was freely given. So a big thank you to the home owners for continuing to allow visitors. The pillar itself remains in decent condition, and it's the first one that I've logged within Norfolk. Pillar history: Built on the 24th of May 1938, at a cost of £3 14s 11d. Last maintained by the OS in August of 1979.

Parked opposite the drive entrance and spotted the pillar as soon as I started walking towards it. A cat came and investigated what I was doing and then followed me back down the drive.

Another walk in Norfolk a trigpoint on the route.Pillar sits by barn up impressive drive to town end farm.Lady drives out as I log no gives me a nice smile and wave, very nice.

A nice wee trig hiding in someones garden. Anuck up the driveway using stealth mode, avoiding the rustling leaves to find the trig being guarded by a wee snail. See photo. Great fun. Cheers

on right hand side of drive by garage/shed of "Townsend", Walnut Road. Accessible thru' gate at TF503165 and over rough ground and thru' hedge. (Seemed a shame to pester house owner when I could see and get to trig without being seen)

The pillar is in superb condition, lovely coat of fresh paint - can't say the same for the house in whose grounds it sits. Knocked at the door but got no answer, so took a couple of pics on the way out!

My second lowest, so no views! What lovely people at the house. Had a very long chat with them about the trig and things. Can't get house insurance round here. Mentioned that someone came by a few years ago, to run up a telescopic pole to get a siting, so perhaps this trig is still in active use.

On the way to a week's holiday in north Norfolk. Spotted this pillar in the house drive in Walpole St.Peter. Walked down the drive unmolested and logged the pillar. Original plug with slightly indented letters. Traces of paint. All sightholes closed. No views due to garden hedges and the adjacent garage building.

A pillar located next to a garage in the garden of a property in Walpole St Peter. It’s just about visible from the road. I walked up the drive intending to knock on the door and ask permission but it was 5:45 p.m. and I figured they’d be having their tea. Not fair to disturb them, eh? So I quietly took a few photos and left without disturbing them. The pillar is in good condition with all its metalwork in place.
