Walked from Mansel Lacy through a ridiculously silent and very eerie estate, fortunately deserted, before following track up through wood. TP on a large concrete base surrounded by nettles.

Easy to find - parked at Wormsley church (down the track behind the Golf Course), then walked south along the farm track, along the next field edge and then through a hole in the back hedge to follow the forest track straight to the trig. It’s a big overgrown and looking sorry for itself with a few chunks off the top.

Damage to top corner. A rather protracted walk up from Yarsop, I had tried from the east, game birds by the thousand, all wairing for the 'sportsmen'.

Approached from Wormsley. Pleasant farmer about in yard and agreeable to my cycling track and walking round field - directions given. Track rideable, followed dog leg route in field on machinery track through good wheat field. Obvious high point along hedge line, but couldn't immediately see pillar. trampled some nettles and stepped over barbed wire fence on to track and pillar is sited on plinth some feet to West of hedge. Interesting church looked after by Churches Preservation Trust. Tomb of Thomas Andrew Knight a pioneering C19th fruit cross breeder and an influence on Charles Darwin.

Finally bagged this one! Was going to try it from the golf course but farmer in field. Then tried it from Mansel Lacy only to be greeted with PRIVATE signs. Eventually walkd it from Yarsop, following the same route as mickandshane. Nice walk, just overshadowed by much of it being a trespass. Still some snow up here. The daffs not out yet. Nice aroma of garlic. No shooting thankfully apart from the SAS at Credenhill. Assume the views must have been SW.

Not a bad walk for Christmas Day Glaslyn! We parked at Yarsop (easy parking) and took the footpath towards Hill Top Farm. Where it crosses the bit of wood there is a very good track which crosses it. We took this east, past loads of pheasant shooting paraphenalia, and eventually arrived at the trig which is quite well hidden now but at a bit of a summit on the track. We walked back the same way without meeting a soul, which was a bit of a relief. All in all a very pleasant walk. Plug with heavily indented lettering.

An epic! A high trespass factor involving private roads, potato fields, avoiding logging operations and barbed wire fences. Approach was from north (Wormsley). I had given up searching for it when I finally found it in strip of wood between the track and the fields. No obvious summit and no particular view. I was pleased to get out of there and forgot to check the FB number.
