The substantial house appeared to be closed up with all the blinds closed. No one around so opened the gate to the back garden and climbed up the steps to the summer house which has a fantastic view over the firth. The FBM is hard up against one wall.

Viewed through slatted fence from lane at back of house, easy access via steps from Swanston Avenue. If the gaps in the slats where a little wider you could just about touch it.

No one at home so had to be satisfied with an over the fence viewing. A new outbuilding has been erected and the FBM is now up against the west face of it.

Parking in the lane to the S in passing bay, short walk along the lane, located in the back garden behind solid wooden fence, visible from the far corner if you peer in, no in to let me into the house. FBM all appears to be in good condition.

Extensive renovations taking place at this property currently. Builders very friendly though, so just approach them politely and they'll be happy to grant access :). If searching from the lane look for the pink paint spot on the tree which is right in line with the FBM.

Can be seen from the lane running behind No. 51, but decided to knock and see what reception I got. As it happened a favourable one; the owner directed me to the side gate. She has lived there approx 3 years and has had 4 callers for it (I didn't tell her how many had peeped over, under, round her rear fencing!). Height tag missing, otherwise good.

Log #86. There's a handy lay-by about 35 metres or so from the benchmark, which is located at the back edge of someone's garden. Peeked through the fence slats to get a picture, but didn't hang about any longer. The road is a dead-end, by the way. Don't make the same mistake I did and try and follow it back to the main road. [ExP-80/MiP-0/BM-6]

Have logged many trigs in roughly a 70+ mile radius around Inverness and never did this one which is right round the corner from my street haha. Anyway climbed stairs at the back and just took a pic through the fence. As mentioned before this Station is well looked after :)

At the top edge of private back garden behind wooden fence. 51 Swanston Avenue, Inverness. Householder seems to be looking after FBM which sits nicely beside garden bench. Nobody at home when called, but camera lens peeked through fence. Photos T/F.
