From S, Valley Rd, location in or close to hedgeline, could have been lost when section of hedge removed. Nearby buried block seems likely gone

A nice walk along the cliff and back along the river.

even having once found 1 of these I did not hold out much hope here after reading previous logs, indeed I did not what to come at all but it's close to home and is also a SK still on the to-do list so it needed to be looked at, turned out to be a nice walk from the vilage with good views, spent a good 30 minutes with the tent peg prodding about and even 5 minutes digging up a very nice stone, have gone for possibly missing as it could still be about and hiding just waiting for somebody to get lucky.

Triangulation Station SK73/T171 (3rd order, installed 21/09/1988), a Fenomark, one of a dozen or so listed in the OS database. Could not find it on the mound known as Gibbet Hill, nor in the adjacent field where the GPSr was pointing; probably buried beneath soil or other debris. See http://www.berntsen.com/GoShopping/Surveying/Monuments/FENO/tabid/1757/Default.aspx for more details of Feno marks!
