I huffed and I puffed and finally got here through the cloud. A strange landscape up here on this peak. Not too many visitors I see. Bolt still uncovered despite my fears that them cairn builders may have buried it under rubble.

Bolt, rucksack...and bananna skin.

Walked up from Three Shires Stone via Red Tarn & then followed main path running between Cold Pike & Great Knott as far as the foot of Crinkle Crags before heading south over to Stonesty Pike & then Little Stand. Bolt easily visible on south side of cairn. Hazy views of the Scafells but good views back to Crinkle Crags,Cold Pike & Pike O Blisco.

Parked next to the cattle grid half way along Wrynose Bottom and followed Gaitscale Gill up, greeted at the summit by sleet and biting wind didn’t hang about, you may notice the bear in the photo isn’t Teddybomber as he got lost on High Crag whilst doing the Ennerdale round I have been back to look for him but alas there’s no sign of him perhaps he’s found a new home if anybody has seen him I would love to know how he is. The new bear is called Lancaster.
