Revisit. The station has changed from the original to a different model. This appears to have occurred some time between April 2015 and April 2016. Instead of a Leica dome, the newer version resembles the one at Catterick.

By the road. Agreed it doesn't look the same as most active stations.

Easy spot from the road, or from within the compound. Are these an older type of Leica models? Certainly not the more usual domed type.

On a brick building behind a fence next to the road. Slightly more interesting than blocks & rivets & much easier to find!

Located within yearsley water reservoir enclosure. MY grid reference is different from that reported, has the station moved or has there been an input error. The database position is to the west of the road, there is currently no building/structure at this location. I see that Aye Jimmy has a simailr GR as myself with some discusion that Bergfuerher may have been having some issues logging active station on the database as it was close to the destroyed

Sunday evening when all quiet. Now has a serious fence around it, but access still possible via vandalised corner next to gate at S end of reservoir. Lying down, get covered in goosegrass buds and rose-bay silky cotton too! (Later note: there was originally an issue with the GR of this station, now appears to have been resolved).

Resevoir being redevelopd but it looks like the station may survive as the work is mainly going on at the other end of the reservoir.

Yorkshire. This active station is listed on the current OS database and is located on the roof of the service building at Yearsley covered reservoir. It is very close to where the trig pillar once stood and the accurate grid reference given by the Ordnance Survey is SE5875374451. In order to upload this new page I have had to enter a slightly false grid reference.
