At crossroads of B1077 and B1078 pulled over by garage on south east side of junction. About ten metres east then south of the garage forecourt, spotted pillar in the woods. No views at all. Removed some vegetation from around the pillar. Cap plugged. OS plaque in place. Hidden corner of Suffolk.

Parked on wide grass roadside verge. Pillar sits short distance into unfenced scrubby woodland next to a secondhand car dealership. Forest floor has buried the sight holes (hence not checked) and needed clearing away from base of the FB. Centre cap lost, replaced with composite disc. No views.

Plastic cap. In wood behind car garage. I think the birds use this as a bird table for eating snails - piles on ground at base.

Base fairly well buried in leaves, but otherwise a niceish location in a corpse of trees just by a junction. At time of visit was just outside a Foot&Mouth control zone.

I had to go to Claydon on a business trip and didn't have a lot of time to spare. However, a 'drive-by' trig point that's loggable on YOSM was too good an opportunity to miss. Apart from the missing plug (blocked with a plastic bung) it's in good condition but I suspect you'll be digging the mud away from the flush bracket before long as the ground level has risen to it's bottom edge. It's surprising just how small this T/P looks. No views to speak of.

Easy access from road,hidden in trees/shrubs with no view to speak of.Fb on trig is at ground level after many years of leaf mould.Trig in good condition

Not too hard to find, there is a convenient industrial parking spot close by, but it's very close to a fairly busy road, so not much chance of sightseeing.

Happened to see this trig as we were driving along on a day's caching, so stopped for it. Took me ages afterwards (8 months!) to work out which one it was we'd found! Very easy parking all of 10 metres from the pillar :)
